Vacation
Friday I am taking my kids on our first family vacation ever! As you can imagine my kids are super excited to go! We are going to head to Vale, Oregon to visit some family on their ranch for the weekend. I have driven through Oregon on my way to Washington but never had the opportunity to stop and play so I am pretty excited too! My kids are looking forward to seeing lots of animals and being able to run and play. I am looking forward to being there but not the actual trip getting there! The closer it gets to the time for us to leave the idea of taking 5 kids and our 2 dogs on a 5 to 6 hour car ride becomes less appealing. I am not sure what I am thinking but knowing me I will make the best of it and will have plenty to laugh about before it is over! So wish me luck on my quest for a peaceful vacation because I am sure I will need all the luck I can get!

That sounds like a lot of fun! You will love Oregon! Is that this coming weekend? It's been really rainy here this week but this weekend is supposed to be in the 70s and even 80s here in Portland so i bet the whole state will have similar whether. Have a fun time!!
Oh Darcie, you are an amazing person!!!! I hope your trip is sooooo fun. Your kids will love it, even Derek. And they will always remember it. The hardest part is already done, all the packing and laundry and cleaning and making sure you don't forget anything. You will have a blast, and yes, knowing you, you will make the fun out of the crazy, because you are sooooo talented at that...better than me. Be safe, have fun!
